Johnson’s RBI double sparks Nationals’ 11-6 win over Phillies (AP)
The Washington Nationals took their late-inning act on the road. Nick Johnson’s tiebreaking RBI double off Tom Gordon highlighted a five-run ninth inning and the Nationals beat the Philadelphia Phillies 11-6 Monday.

Nationals OF Elijah Dukes placed on 15-day DL, Schroder recalled from Triple-A (AP)
Washington Nationals left fielder Elijah Dukes was placed on the 15-day disabled list Sunday after leaving the season opener with a tight right hamstring. The Nationals replaced Dukes on the roster by recalling right-handed pitcher Chris Schroder from Triple-A Columbus. Dukes left the 3-2 victory over the Atlanta Braves after grounding out in the fifth.
