Nationals put King on DL, recall Rivera from Columbus (AP)
The Washington Nationals put left-handed reliever Ray King on the 15-day disabled list Thursday with left shoulder tendinitis and recalled right-handed reliever Saul Rivera from Triple-A Columbus. King left Tuesday’s 8-0 loss at the Atlanta Braves after allowing four runs, two hits and three walks in two-thirds of an inning.

Nationals start 3rd shortstop in 3 games, shifting Lopez (AP)
The Washington Nationals used their third starting shortstop in three games this season, moving Felipe Lopez over from second base for Wednesday’s series finale against the Florida Marlins. Opening-day shortstop Cristian Guzman left after straining his left hamstring, then was put on the 15-day disabled list Tuesday.

Forced to juggle their lineup after one game, the Washington Nationals put center fielder Nook Logan and shortstop Cristian Guzman on the 15-day disabled list Tuesday and recalled Kory Casto from Triple-A Columbus. The Nationals said they plan to purchase the contract of infielder D’Angelo Jimenez from Columbus on Wednesday.
