Phillies drop to last in the NL, Bonds hits No. 738 (AP)
The floundering Phillies dropped to the bottom of the National League with their latest loss and Barry Bonds reached the water with his latest homer. Philadelphia became the worst team in the league Wednesday night, losing 5-4 to the Washington Nationals in 13 innings on Felipe Lopez’s sacrifice fly.

OF Casto sent to Triple-A, OF Restovich called up (AP)
The Washington Nationals sent rookie outfielder Kory Casto to Triple-A Columbus after Tuesday night’s 6-4 loss to Atlanta and planned to bring up outfielder Michael Restovich from that minor league affiliate. Casto, who never played above Double-A before joining the Nationals in the season’s first week, was hitting .172.
