Former Cardinals second baseman Tommy Herr was hired Tuesday by the Washington Nationals as the manager of Class A Hagerstown. The other five minor league managers were in the Nationals’ system last year: John Stearns (Triple-A Columbus), Scott Little (Double-A Harrisburg), Randy Knorr (Class A Potomac), Darnell Coles (Class A Vermont) and Bobby Henley (rookie Gulf Coast League Nationals).
